In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 190, Florida Statutes, a public hearing will be held by the Nassau County Board of County Commissioners beginning at 6:00 p.m. or shortly thereafter on April 22, 2024, in the Commission Chambers, James S. Page Governmental Complex at 96135 Nassau Place, Yulee, Florida 32097, to consider an ordinance granting a petition to amend the boundaries of the Liberty Cove Community Development District (the District). The title of the proposed ordinance is as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF NASSAU COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 20 ½ -PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT, ARTICLE VI DEVELOPMENT DISTRICTS, SECTION 20 ½-168(b)(8) EXHIBIT A, BOUNDARIES OF DISTRICT, ORDINANCE 2021-10 WHICH ESTABLISHED THE LIBERTY COVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT, SPECIFICALLY SECTION 3, IN ORDER TO AMEND THE EXTERNAL BOUNDARIES OF THE LIBERTY COVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 190, FLORIDA STATUTES (2023); PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
The District is comprised of 311.83 acres, more or less, generally located south of William Burgess Boulevard, east of I-95, west of US 17 and north of the Nassau River. The District has submitted a petition to amend the boundary of the District by adding 0.34 acres, for a total of approximately 312.17 acres.
All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing and to be heard. Copies of the petition and proposed ordinance are open to public inspection at the office of the Planning Department, 96161 Nassau Place, Yulee, FL 32097. Comments may also be directed in writing to the Planning Department, e-mailed to planning@nassaucountyfl.com, or received by telephone at (904) 530-6320. All comments will become part of the record in this matter and subject to Floridas public records law.
